Jesus Affirms that Jonah was a real person

 

“He restored the territory of Israel from the entrance of Hamath to the Sea of the Arabah, according to the word of the Lord God of Israel, which he had spoken through His servant Jonah the son of Amittai, the prophet who was from Gath Hepher.”

II Kings 14:25

Jonah was a Hero in Israel

 

“Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and cry out against it; for their wickedness has come up before Me.”

God’s Love and Mercy has no Boundaries, He commissions us to “Go to all the Nations”

 

“But Jonah arose to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. He went down to Joppa…”

Jonah’s Hatred and Prejudice kept him from obeying the Lord

 

“But the Lord sent out a great wind on the sea…”

God uses Storms to turn us in the right direction
