Visit us this week!
What time should I be there?
Plan to arrive 10 minutes early to park and drop off your children before the service begins. You may park anywhere you like. Parents of preschoolers will probably want to park on the side with the metal building. Our Sunday morning worship services take place in the main sanctuary. If you need help finding a seat, please ask one of our greeters for assistance. We want to help you. Sunday school is at 9:15 for all ages. Classes are generally divided by age/life stages but adults are welcome to attend any adult class. See the listing here.
What should I wear?
You will see among our congregation, pastors, and leaders everything from jackets and ties to jeans and t-shirts. Wear what you feel comfortable in and you’ll fit right in. Just please dress modestly.
What will the service be like?
We start with music from a live band led by our worship leader, a choir, and a team of singers. Music is a blend of contemporary worship songs and hymns. It’s fine if you don’t know the words, if you want to worship in song, the lyrics will be on the screen. Our pastor will then preach a message from God’s word grounded in Biblical truth. Each service lasts approximately an hour.
Will I be asked to give anything?
There will be a time in the service where we pass an offering plate. If you are visiting we don’t expect you to give any money. You will find a guest info tear-off portion in the bulletin. We ask that you fill that out and drop it in the offering plate as your only contribution. Please share your prayer requests with us on the other side of the guest info section.
What about my preschooler?
You are always welcome to take your children to the worship service with you. During Sunday school and 10:30 worship, you have the option to check your newborns through kindergarteners into our preschool area in the bottom level of the main sanctuary building. Your preschoolers will be engaged in age-graded small group Bible study during the Sunday school hour, and during the 10:30 service our caregivers will watch your children in a safe, fun, and comfortable environment while you worship. Pagers will be given to the parents of babies and will be cared for by our paid nursery staff so your babies will see the same faces each week. All of our caregivers have passed a background check.
I have older kids, what are their options?
Your children 1st-5th grade will be engaged in age-graded small group Bible study during the Sunday school hour on the bottom level of the Smiley Center (the small red brick building). On the first three Sundays of the month, we offer “Kids Challenge” where kids are involved fun games and activities that teach them Biblical truth during the worship hour. On Sunday nights grades 1-5 go to an interactive fun zone that encourages Bible skills and memorization of scripture while kids enjoying games, crafts, worship, and snacks. Bible drill is also offered for grades 4-5 beginning in the fall.
I have middle and high schoolers, where do they go?
Students in 6th-12th grade will meet in the “Cave,” our student ministry area, in the ROC (gray metal building) on Wednesday nights and for Sunday school on Sunday morning. They will be greeted by our family pastor or another student ministry leader. They will be engaged in relevant Bible study during Sunday school and Wednesday night hour. Students worship in the sanctuary during church.
