“…I have become all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.” I Corinthians 9:22
I am excited about what the Lord is preparing to do here at Ridgeview. Several new ministries are being birthed to help us reach our community with the love of Jesus.
Starting September 1st, we will birth a two day a week Preschool for 3 and 4-year-olds. This is a kindergarten readiness class that currently has 11 enrolled. The mission is to come alongside parents to assist them in preparing their child for kindergarten and to show the child and the parents the love of Jesus. This new ministry will be led by Stacey Lawson and Jen Rogers.
Also starting in September we will be looking to birth a Senior Adult Ministry. We will be presenting a Senior Adult Ministry Team at our church conference. This team will be lead by Elmer and Margaret Dockery. This team will focus on individuals in the church and in the community who are 55 and older. The mission is to provide spiritual enrichment through Bible study and ministry opportunities and also fellowship through activities and trips.
Another ministry that was birthed this year was Rally @ the Ridge. Over 140 cars/trucks/motorcycles participated in our first car show. The mission was to provide a safe family-friendly event for our community to enjoy and then to show them the love of Jesus when they showed up on our campus. The event was a great success and we plan to make it an annual event.
See a need–meet a need! September 7 and 11 we will be having greeter training at 6:30pm. We need folks of all ages who are excited about what the Lord is doing at Ridgeview to join others who are already serving as greeters. We only get one chance to make a first impression and we need smiling faces to help us show the love of Jesus to our guests.
See a need–meet a need! Paul said I will become all things to all men to win them to Jesus. There are plans for several new ministries to be birthed this year in attempt to reach our community with the love of Jesus. You have a passion for something why not use it for Jesus. For instance, my son Jake has a passion for fishing, we are considering starting a Ridgeview Bass Club so Jake and others with the same passion can use this as a tool to reach others with the love of Jesus. Wes Cassel has a passion for running. We are considering birthing a Ridge 3K, so others like Wes can use their passion for running as a tool to reach others with the love of Jesus.
There is excitement in the air about what the Lord is preparing to do. The fields are white for the harvest. See a need–meet a need!
Life is a journey! Learn on the way! ‘Till next time stay in the Scripture!
